The Syrian Human Rights Committee documented the killing of (71) people in Syria during the month of September 2023, including (13) children, (8) women, and (1) person who was killed under torture.
The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) were responsible for the deaths of (16) individuals, while the Syrian regime forces were responsible for the deaths of (15) individuals. “Israeli” airstrikes were responsible for the deaths of two individuals. Meanwhile, the Lebanese Border Guard, the Turkish Border Guard (Gendarmerie), and opposition factions each were responsible for the death of one person each.
SHRC documented the assassination of (25) people by unknown assailants, (6) individuals killed in explosions of explosive devices and shelling remnants, and (3) people killed by landmines.
Deir ez-Zor province had the highest number of victims among all the provinces, with (28) people killed, followed by Daraa province with (22) individuals, and then Aleppo province with (12) individuals.
The total number of victims in Idlib province was (5) people, (2) in the Rif Dimashq (Rural Damascus) province, and (1) in both Homs and Hasakah provinces.
