Monthly report on the victims of human rights violations in March 2023
The Syrian Human Rights Committee documented the killing of (110) people in Syria during the month of March 2023, including (8) children, (6) women, and (4) killed under torture.
The regime was responsible for the killing of (6) people, and the opposition factions were responsible for the killing of (6) people as well. While the Turkish border guards (Gendarmerie) were responsible for the killing of (4) people, including two who were killed due to torture after their infiltration across the Syrian-Turkish border, and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) were responsible for the killing of two people.
SHRC documented the death of (58) assassinations by unknown persons, (27) people by the explosion of landmines, and (4) because of the explosion of explosive devices.
Deir ez-Zor governorate came first in terms of the number of victims, which amounted to (56) people, followed by Hama governorate with (18) people, and then Aleppo governorate with (13) people.
The total number of victims in Daraa governorate was (10), (5) in Al-Hasakah governorate, (4) in Idlib governorate, (3) in Al-Raqqa governorate, and (1) in Homs governorate.
