The Syrian Human Rights Committee documented the killing of (106) people in Syria during the month of February 2023, including: (8) children, (6) women, and (3) people who were killed under torture.
The Iranian militia (Fatemiyoun Brigade) was responsible for committing a massacre against (51) people in the areas of Dbayat and Murir in Al-Sukhna rural area in Homs governorate while they were collecting the truffle crop, and the Syrian Democratic Forces were responsible for the killing of (7) people. While the regime forces were responsible for the killing of (6) people, and the international coalition forces were responsible for the killing of two people, and the “Israeli” air force was responsible for the killing of two people after it bombed the Al-Mazra’a area in the capital Damascus, and the Turkish border guards (gendarmes) were responsible for the killing of one person while trying to infiltrate Turkish territory.
SHRC documented the killing of (19) people who were assassinated by unknown persons, (16) people as a result of the explosion of landmines, and (2) as a result of the explosion of explosive devices and remnants of the shelling.
Homs governorate topped the rest of the governorates in terms of the number of victims, reaching (51) people, followed by Deir ez-Zorr governorate with (21) people, then Hama governorate with (10) people.
The total number of victims in Aleppo governorate was (7) people, (5) people in Al-Hasakah governorate, (4) people in Idlib governorate, (3) people in Daraa governorate, and (2) in each of the capital Damascus and Lattakia governorate. and (1) in Raqqa Governorate.
