Monthly Report of victims / January 2023
The Syrian Human Rights Committee (SHRC) documented the killing of (68) people in Syria during the month of January 2023, including; (15) children, (4) women, and (2) killed under torture.
ISIS and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) were responsible for the killing of (8) people each, while the Syrian regime was responsible for the killing of (6) people, and the Turkish Border Guard (Gendarmerie) was responsible for the killing of two people.
SHRC documented the killing of (30) people who were assassinated by persons unknown, (4) due to the explosion of shelling and projectile remnants, and (1) an infant due to the lack of health care in the al-Rukban camp on the Syrian-Jordanian border.
Daraa governorate was in the forefront among the Syrian governorates in terms of the number of victims, which amounted to (22) people, followed by Deir ez-Zor governorate with (16) people, and then the governorates of Aleppo and Raqqa with (8) people each.
The total number of victims in Al-Hasakah governorate was (7) people, (3) people in each of Idlib and Hama governorates, and (1) in As-Suwayda governorate.
