Monthly Report of Victims in Syria, September 2022
The Syrian Human Rights Committee documented the killing of (124) people during the month of September 2022, including: (33) children and (15) women, and (3) people were killed under torture.
Russian air forces were responsible for the death of (7) people, the Syrian regime was responsible for the death of (6) people, while ISIS was responsible for the death of (6) people, and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) were responsible for the death of (3) people.
This month witnessed the death of 47 Syrians, including women and children, who drowned while trying to cross from the city of Tripoli in northern Lebanon to Europe after their boat capsized near the Syrian coast.
It was also recorded that (34) people were assassinated by unknown persons, (14) people were killed by explosive landmines, and (6) people were killed by the explosion of IEDs.
For the first time, Lattakia governorate topped the rest of the governorates in terms of the number of victims, as it reached (36) people, all of whom died in the sinking of a boat that was carrying them illegally to the coasts of Europe, followed by the governorates of Daraa and Idlib with (23) people each, and then the governorate of Aleppo with (15) ) persons.
The total number of victims in Deir Ezzor governorate was (14) people, (5) people in each of Homs and Hasaka governorates, (2) in Raqqa governorate, and (1) in Damascus countryside governorate.
