Ninety eight Victims documented in May 2021
The Syrian Human Rights Committee documented the killing of (98) people in Syria during the month of May 2021, including: (10) children, (11) women, and (6) people were killed under torture.
The regime forces and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) were responsible for the killing of (10) people each, while ISIS was responsible for the death of (6) people and the opposition factions were responsible for killing only one person.
SHRC documented the killing of (47) people as a result of assassination by unidentified persons, (13) people as a result of the explosion of explosive devices and booby-traps, and (7) people as a result of the explosion of landmines.
Daraa governorate came at the forefront of the governorates in terms of the number of casualties, as the number of victims reached (24) people, followed by Deir ez-Zor governorate with (20) people, and then the governorates of Hasaka and Aleppo with (16) people in each.
The total number of victims in Idlib governorate reached (11) people, (7) people in Raqqa governorate, (3) people in Hama governorate, and only one person in Homs governorate.
