The Syrian Human Rights Committee (SHRC) documented the killing of (115) people in Syria during the month of August 2020, including (28) children, (8) women, and (16) people who were killed under torture.
The Syrian regime was responsible for killing (10) people, while the SDF was responsible for killing (9) people, and the Russian air force was responsible for killing (3) people, and the armed factions were responsible for killing (2) people.
SHRC documented the killing of (35) people as a result of the explosion of landmines, and (16) people as a result of the explosion of explosive devices and booby traps. It also documented the killing of (34) people who were assassinated by unknown persons, and (8) people were killed due to malnutrition and health care in Al Hol camp, which is controlled by the SDF militia in al-Hasakah province.
Idlib province topped the rest of the provinces in terms of the number of victims, which reached (24) people, followed by Deir ez-Zor province with (20) people, then Daraa province with (19) people, and the al-Hasakah province with (18) people.
The total number of victims in Aleppo province reached (15) people, (10) people in al-Raqqa province, (4) people in Hama province, (2) people each in Quneitra and Homs provinces, and (1) person in AS-Sweida province.
