Victims & Injuries in Car Bomb Attack in Idlib province

29-August-2020 By shrc_admin

Turkish point in north west Syria

A car bomb attack took place last Friday night (28/8/2020) at the gate of the “Sallat-u-Zuhoor” school at the Sallat-u-Zuhoor town, near Ariha in Idlib western countryside, targeting the Turkish point near the M4 international highway (Aleppo-Latakia highway) and the armed factions’ fighters who guard the point.

The clash between the attackers in the car on the one hand, the Turkish point and the guards of the point resulted in civilian casualties, so the civilian (Qusay Al-Sattam) was killed, in addition to a member of the Ahrar al-Sham faction, and a woman (Khawla Hadid), several civilians, security personnel and Turks were wounded.

The perpetrators are yet to know, however it is thought that the militant group (Khattab al-Shishani Brigades) stands behind the attack, especially that they previously announced responsibility for a similar operation.
