SHRC documents 12 massacres in December 2019

The Syrian Human Rights Committee (SHRC) documented the perpetration of 12 massacres in December 2019.

Idlib Province came at the forefront of the Syrian provinces with the number of massacres, as it witnessed the perpetration of 9 massacres. Since the beginning of the month, the province is under a military campaign carried out by the regime forces, supported by Russian air forces, and the campaign continues until the end of the month.

Also, one massacre was documented in each of the provinces of Aleppo, al-Hassakeh and Raqqa.

The regime forces were responsible for committing 6 massacres, while the Russian warplanes were responsible for committing 3 massacres, and the perpetrators of three other massacres were not known.
