al-Rawdah Mosque is located in al-Rawdah neighbourhood in the eastern city centre of Khan Shykhun, in the southern countryside of Idlib.
At approximately 20:30 on Friday, 1 March 2019, the Syrian regime forces fired several missiles at al-Rawdah neighbourhood in the eastern part of Khan Shykhun, in the southern countryside of Idlib.
The mosque was directly targeted by two missiles: one targeted the eastern wall, and the other targeted the roof of the mosque.
One of the rockets penetrated the roof and settled on the mosque floor where it exploded. The other exploded in the roof causing a big gap.
On the following day, Saturday, 2 March 2019, at 3:00 pm, the Syrian regime artillery shelled several artillery shells in the same neighbourhood for the second time, one of which targeted the mosque directly in the roof, causing considerable material damage added the previous damage inflicted on the previous day.
