A boat carrying Syrian and Palestinian refugees sank off the Lebanese coast, killing one child and injuring several others.
The boat sank Saturday morning off the shores of al-Abdeh-Akkar, carrying 50 migrants, mostly Syrians.
The Lebanese Red Cross worked to rescue the migrants after the boat sank. Five people were transferred to Al-Khair hospital as a result of their injuries. One of them, Khalid Najma (5 years), died later.
