World Health Organisation (WHO) asked to provide access to reach 210,000 displaced people who have fled the fighting in southern Syria and in urgent need to medicines and health services, and amongst them in need for evacuation.
The organisation continued to say that with temperature rise to 45 Celsius, no less than 15 Syrians including 12 children died last week because of drought and water pollution.
Three of four hospitals and public health centres in Daraa and Quneitra are closed or not fully operational, the organisation said.
“We call on all parties to open the door to citizens in southern Syria and to allow safe access to medicines and medical supplies they need and to provide safe passage for those seriously injured to reach hospitals outside the area to save their lives”. The organisation concluded.
