The total number of victims (which we were able to document) in Syria on Friday 17/11/2017 reached 52 deaths including 13 children and five women.
In rural Damascus, 24 civilians were killed, 23 in shelling on the towns and villages of eastern al-Ghouta. They were distributed as follows: 13 civilians in shelling on Douma city, including three members of the Civil Defense, four in Harista and Arbeen, and one in Madira and al-Shaifuniya, and one in clashes with government forces in Bait Jan.
Furthermore, 20 died in Deir Azzour; 13 in shelling on the towns of al-Sawsaw, al-Ghabra and a refugee camp in Fida Jab, four as a result of an explosion believed to have been organized by ISIS on a group of refugees from Deir Azzour at one of Qasd militia barriers, three in a landmine explosion, and two executed at the hands of ISIS under charges of carrying out magic and insulting God.
In addition, four were killed in Idlib as a result of two bomb explosions, one in a motorbike on Khan Sheikhoun road, and the other near al-Mihrab roundabout (Idlib). Two civilians were also killed in mortar shelling on al-Dawila’a and al-Haal market (Damascus).
The killings of two civilians were documented in a landmine explosion remnant of ISIS in Ar-Raqqah. Names of victims documented by the Syrian Human Rights committee can be found in the Arabic section.
