Russian-Backed Regime Campaign Continues in Eastern Ghouta

17-November-2017 By admin2

خارطة-الغوطة

The Russian-backed Syrian regime’s fierce campaign continues in the cities and towns of eastern Ghouta for the third day in a row.

Douma, Harasta, Arbin, Madira, Saqba and others have been targeted with over 70 air raids, artillery shells and missiles. Statistics indicate that over 30 civilians have been killed due to the ongoing bombing, including three members of the civil defence, women and children.

The air raids targeted the popular market in Arbin and neighbouring residential areas, as well as a medical unit in Douma, and turned them into ruins.

It is clear that the ongoing attacks are a form of collective punishment for the residents of Ghouta, which has been under siege for many years. This completely contradicts the most basic of human rights, and constitutes violations amounting to crimes against humanity.
