SHRC Documents 47 Massacres in October

SHRC documented 47 massacres in October 2017. The Deir ez-Zor province had the highest number recorded with 25 massacres, followed by Ar-Raqqah province with 11 massacres, Rif Dimashq with 4 massacres, Idlib with 2 massacres and Al-Hasakah, Daraa, Hama and Damascus with 1 massacre recorded for each.

Russia has been at the forefront of carrying out the massacres this month having committed 21 massacres. The Syrian regime and supporting foreign militias follow, with 12 massacres. Global Coalition forces have committed 11 and ISIS has committed 2 massacres. The perpetrators behind one massacre were not identified.
