The total number of victims (which we were able to document) in Syria on Sunday 22/10/2017 reached 72 deaths including seven children and two women.
A staggering 55 civilians were killed in Homs in al-Qaryatayn at the hands of ISIS before their withdrawal from the city and the regime entering.
In Deir Azzour, 11 civilians were killed; five in warplane shelling on government controlled al-Ardi neighbourhood and the town of Baqras, four in a landmine explosion near Haqli al-Amr, al-Sijan and Sha’ib al-Waer, one at the hands of ISIS while attempting to leave an area under their control heading towards al-Basira, and a child’s body found in Euphrates river and it is believed to be following the river crossing Russian airstrikes.
Furthermore, three were killed in rural Damascus; one in clashes with government forces, another shot by a regime sniper, and one due to the lack of food and medicine due to the siege imposed on Kafr Batna.
In addition, a civilian was killed in Idlib at the hands of unknown assailants after he was kidnapped after Friday prayers in Khan Sheikhoun. A further two civilians were killed in Hama in shelling on the village of Jab al-Sukar and Badiya Hama.
