The death toll in Syria on Sunday 01/10/2017 reached 72 deaths including 16 children and 20 women.
A staggering 56 civilians were killed in Deir Azzour; 54 as a result of shelling distributed as follows: ten in shelling on al-Bukamal, 16 in shelling on the town of al-Tub, 11 in shelling at various places in al-Mayadeen, nine in shelling on the towns of Baqras Fawqani and Tahtani, four found under the rubble in al-Mayadeen as a result of previous shelling, four in shelling on the village of al-Tabiya and the towns of al-Tabiya, al-Salhiya and al-Shaheel. In addition, two were shot by ISIS in the section controlled by the regime in al-Jabaliya neighbourhood (Deir Azzour).
In rural Damascus, seven civilians were killed; five in clashes with government forces, one in shelling, and another as a result of an explosion remnants of shelling in al-Damir. Furthermore, six were killed in Ar-Raqqah, four in international alliance shelling, and two in Qasd artillery shelling.
The killings of two civilians were documented in Homs, one shot by a sniper, and the other in clashes with the regime. The killing of a civilian was documented in shelling in Hama.
