The death toll in Syria on Wednesday 23/08/2017 reached 49 deaths including 24 children and six women.
In Al-Hassaka, 14 civilians were killed, 12 in international alliance shelling targeting their vehicle in Tal al-Shayir, and two as a result of health deterioration in al-Sad camp rural Al-Hassaka.
An additional 14 civilians were killed in Ar-Raqqah, as a result of international alliance shelling on al-Andalus and al-Badu neighbourhoods.
Furthermore, 11 died in Deir Azzour as a result of Russian airstrikes on the towns of al-Shamitiya, Hawayij, Diyab Shamiya, al-Kharit and al-Mayadeen.
Furthermore, nine died in Hama as a result of Russian airstrikes on the villages of al-Rawida and al-Shawiha. A civilian was also killed in Homs, as a result of a heart attack due to heavy shelling targeting the town of Granada at night.
