Eight people, including two children and two women, were left injured after intense and arbitrary firing of guns took place by guests of a wedding in the city of al-Bab, rural Aleppo.

Local sources estimated that the number of shots which took place in the wedding of Mohammed al-Najjar (a member of an armed faction in the city) was approximately 1800 shots.

Live shooting is a prevalent practice in weddings and social gatherings. This cultural practice has increased and intensified since 2011.
