The death toll in Syria on Wednesday 09/08/2017 reached 28 deaths including four children, three women, and two killed under torture.
In rural Damascus, 11 civilians were killed; five in shelling on Kafr Batna, four in clashes between factions, and two in clashes with government forces.
Furthermore, seven died in Ar-Raqqah; five refugees from Tadmur, one executed at the hands of ISIS under charges of associating with the PKK, and one in a landmine explosion remnants of ISIS.
In addition, two were killed in Hama, one in Russian shelling on the town of Hamada Amr and the other under torture in a government prison. An additional two civilians were killed in Idlib, one found hanged near central prison western Idlib, and the other shot by Turkish border guards while attempting to enter Turkish territory.
The killing of a civilian was documented in clashes with government forces in Damascus. The killing of another civilian from Homs was documented under torture in a government prison.
