The Civil Defence have announced their discovery of a mass grave in the town of Akhtareen (rural Aleppo) on Sunday.
According to the results of the first inspection, the grave contains five bodies whose arms and legs are shackled, and whose features cannot be recognised. The bodies seem to have been buried for two years or more.
According to sources local to the town, the findings indicate that the bodies belong to fighters of the Free Syrian Army that were executed by ISIS after they took control of the town in August 2014. The Free Syrian Army regained control of the town in October 2016.
