The death toll in Syria on Friday 21/07/2017 reached 17 deaths. Among the victims were two children.
In rural Damascus, seven civilians were killed, six in clashes with government forces, and one due to Hezbollah targeting camps in Jurud Arsal in random bombing. In addition, a civilian was killed in bombing on al-Tijara neighbourhood (Damascus).
Furthermore, two died in Daraa as a result of random shooting in Tal Shihab. An additional two civilians were killed in Deir Azzour, one due to an illness and insufficient medical care due to the siege imposed on al-Jura neighbourhood by ISIS, and the other due to a mine explosion while attempting to cross from Deir Azzour towards Al-Hassakah across al-Badia.
The killings of two civilians were documented in Homs, one due to clashes north ar-Rastan, and a child due to diarrhea and lack of health care in the camp. Jordanian forces refused her entry into Jordan for treatment, which resulted in her death. The killings of three civilians were documented in Ar-Raqqah, two in international alliance shelling, and the other in Qasd militia shelling.
