The death toll in Syria on Wednesday 05/07/2017 reached 40 deaths including three children, six women, and two killed under torture.
In Deir Azzour, 13 civilians were killed; five in a mine explosion remnants of ISIS on Deir Azzour – Al-Hassaka road, five in Russian airstrikes on the town of Maraat and the vicinity of the train station, one due lack of medical supplies and ISIS preventing exit towards the capital for treatment, and two in warplane shelling (one from wounds sustained in shelling on the town of Dablaan on 28/06/2017).
An additional 13 civilians died in Al-Hassaka, in international alliance shelling on the town of Tal al-Jayar near al-Shadadi. Among the victims was an entire family.
Furthermore, seven died in Ar-Raqqah; three near the international shelling targeting an ISIS vehicle in the village of al-Buhamd, one shot by Qasd militia while attempting to escape forced recruitment, another due to a landmine explosion and two in shelling on Ar-Raqqah.
In addition, four were killed in rural Damascus; one in shelling on Douma, another under torture in a regime prison, one under torture at the hands of the Lebanese army, and one in clashes with government forces. A civilian was also killed in Idlib, from wounds sustained during explosions targeting al-Daana during the month of Ramadan.
The killing of a civilian was documented in indiscriminate shelling in Daraa, and another in shelling on Al-Latamina (Hama).
