The death toll in Syria on Sunday 02/07/2017 reached 20 deaths including eight children and two women.
In Ar-Raqqah, nine civilians were killed, seven in international alliance shelling, and two shot by Qasd militia sniper.
In addition, two died in Daraa, one as a result of indiscriminate shelling on al-Sanmeen, and the other in artillery shelling on Tafs.
Furthermore, three were killed in Deir Azzour as a result of ISIS shelling on regime-controlled neighbourhoods. A further two civilians were killed in Hama in shelling on the town of Rasma la’u Abad.
The killings of two civilians were documented in Homs due to the increase in high temperatures in ar-Rukban camp on the Syrian-Jordanian border. The killing of a civilian was also documented in shelling on Douma (rural Damascus). In addition, a civilian was killed in clashes with government forces in Al-Quneitra.
On the level of arrests, Khalil al-Abdullah (a political activist) was arrested while returning to areas outside ISIS control, previously arrested by ISIS and Syrian Democratic militias.
Some young men from the town of Saluk (rural northern Ar-Raqqah) were arrested at the hands of Qasd militia on the pretext of evading forced conscription.
The al-Hesba today arrested a large number of young people on various legal charges in the eastern towns and villages of rural Deir Azzour and transferred them to the vicinity of the fronts for dredging, digging trenches and forced labour.
