The death toll in Syria on Monday 22/05/2017 reached 38 deaths including eight children, nine women, and one killed under torture.
In Deir Azzour, 18 civilians were killed; ten as a result of airstrikes on the neighbourhood of al-Ardi and al-Mayadeen, four in ISIS mortar shelling on the besieged al-Jura neighbourhood, three in a mine explosion remnants of ISIS, and one under torture in a government prison.
Furthermore, 11 were killed in Ar-Raqqah; six in a mine explosion remnants of ISIS, two in international alliance shelling, and one in ISIS shelling targeting the village of al-Awja.
A further five civilians died in Daraa, three in clashes with government forces, and two in shelling on al-Sahari and al-Sad road neighbourhoods.
In addition, three died in rural Damascus; one in shelling on al-Abada town market, another as a result of a mine explosion remnants of ISIS, and one shot by a Turkish border guard. A civilian was also killed in Aleppo, as a result of clashes with Kurdish militia.
