The death toll in Syria on Sunday 09/04/2017 reached 40 deaths including 12 children and four women.
Aleppo witnessed the killings of nine civilians; four in shelling on the town of Yaqid al-Ads, three women found killed in Manbaj after the regime gained control over it, one found killed at the hands of unknown assailants in I’zaz, and one in international alliance shelling.
An additional nine civilians were killed in Ar-Raqqah, five in a mine explosion remnant of ISIS, three in shelling on al-Manghiya neighbourhood in al-Tabqa, and one shot by Kurdish militia.
In Deir Azzour, five civilians were killed; two in ISIS shelling targeting the besieged al-Jura neighbourhood, one shot by ISIS for refusing to evacuate his home, one in clashes with ISIS, and one in a bomb explosion in al-Rukban camp.
Furthermore, four died in Daraa, three in shelling, and one in clashes with government forces. An additional four civilians were killed in shelling targeting the town of Jabata al-Khashb (Al-Quneitra).
The killings of four civilians were documented in shelling on Sarmeen, Ma’rrat al-No’maan and al-Habit (Idlib), and another in clashes with government forces in Hama.
The Syrian Human Rights Committee documented the killings of two civilians in clashes with ISIS in Homs. The killings of two civilians were also documented in Al-Hassaka, a child forced to join the Kurdish militia in clashes with ISIS, and the other as a result of the lack of medical supplies in al-Hawl camp, and refused to leave the camp for medication by Kurdish militia.
