The death toll in Syria on Thursday 16/03/2017 reached 68 deaths including six children and three women.
A staggering 42 civilians were killed in Aleppo; 35 in shelling on the town of al-Jina (western rural Aleppo), six executed at the hands of the regime in Maskana and the village of Ma’rada Kabeera, and one in a landmine explosion.
In rural Damascus, five civilians were killed; three in clashes with ISIS, one shot by a sniper, and one in shelling. In addition, three died in Damascus in an explosion on al-Rabwa and al-Qasr restaurants.
Deir Azzour witnessed the killings of six civilians; three in a landmine explosion, a child run over by an ISIS car during a motorbike chase, one from wounds sustained in previous shelling on al-Mayadeen, and one in the explosion targeting the palace of Justice in Damascus.
Furthermore, four died in Hama, three in shelling on Jabal Shahshabu, and another found killed and reasons for his death are unknown. An additional four civilians were killed in Idlib, two in a bomb explosion and two in shelling targeting the towns of Abeen Sam’aan and al-Jina (rural Aleppo).
The killings of three civilians were documented in Ar-Raqqah, two in a landmine explosion, and one shot by a Kurdish militia sniper. The killing of another civilian was documented in clashes with government forces in Daraa.
