The death toll in Syria on Thursday 23/02/2017 reached 97 deaths including three children, five women, and one killed under torture.
A staggering 56 civilians were killed in Hama, 54 bodies recovered in al-Khazanaat (rural Idlib) killed at the hands of Al-Aqsa brigade (in alliance with ISIS), one in shelling on al-Hamirat neighbourhood, and one in a landmine explosion.
Aleppo witnessed the killings of 20 civilians; 17 in Russian airstrikes on the scientific research area, one in clashes with ISIS, another in clashes with government forces, and one in a mine explosion remnants of ISIS in Baza’a.
In Daraa, 15 civilians were killed; nine in shelling on the towns of Basrat al-Shaam, al-Jiza, Daraa al-Mahata and Daraa al-Balad, four in clashes with government forces, and two in clashes with ISIS.
Furthermore, four died in Deir Azzour, two in a landmine explosion, and two under torture in a government prison.
The killing of a civilian was documented shot by a sniper in the town of Tir Ma’la (Homs), and another in shelling on Jisr al-Shaghour (Idlib).
