The death toll in Syria on Monday 20/02/2017 reached 53 deaths including ten children, nine women, and one killed under torture.
Aleppo witnessed the killings of 16 civilians; 13 in Russian shelling targeting al-Baab, one in a mine explosion remnants of ISIS, one in clashes with ISIS, and one in mortar shelling on Manyan neighbourhood (Aleppo).
In the capital Damascus, seven civilians were killed in shelling targeting Barza neighbourhood. In addition, five were killed in rural Damascus, three in clashes with government forces, and two in shelling on Madaya.
Furthermore, six were killed in Daraa; three in clashes with government forces, two in clashes with ISIS, and one in shelling.
In Ar-Raqqah, eight civilians were killed as a result of shelling on al-Qitar road. A civilian from Deir Azzour was also killed in clashes with ISIS near the town of al-Baab.
The killings of five civilians were documented in Hama, including three in clashes with ISIS, and two in shelling on fields near Halfaya. The killings of three civilians were also documented in Homs, two shot by a regime sniper, and one in shelling on al-Waer neighbourhood.
The Syrian Human Rights Committee, also documented the killings of a civilian from Al-Latakia in clashes with government forces, and another under torture in the Democratic Union Party detentions after two months of his arrest.
