Daily Report on Violations of Human Rights in Syria: 18/01/2017

The death toll in Syria on Wednesday 18/01/2017 reached 31 deaths including six children and four women.

Aleppo witnessed the killings of 11 civilians; nine in artillery shelling and Turkish shelling on al-Baab and Tadif, one in Russian shelling on the town of Um al-Karamil, and one as a result of ISIS shelling on the town of Jab Makhzumi.

In rural Damascus, nine civilians were killed, five in clashes with government forces, and four in shelling on the town of Deir Maqran.

Furthermore, seven died in Deir Azzour, five in shelling on al-‘Amaal neighbourhood, and two in a landmine explosion remnants of ISIS.

The killings of three civilians were documented in Ar-Raqqah, as a result of a landmine explosion remnant of ISIS. The killing of a child was also documented as a result of an explosion targeting opposition headquarters in Daraa.
