The death toll in Syria on Thursday 05/01/2017 reached 25 deaths including four children, three women, and one killed under torture.
In rural Damascus, seven civilians were killed; five in shelling on the towns of Wadi Barda, Awtaya and Harsta, one shot by a Hezboallah sniper in Madaya, and another from the town of Basima as a result of hepatitis and refused exit from regime barriers to hospitals in Damascus for necessary treatment.
Furthermore, nine civilians were killed in an explosion targeting a market in the city of Jabla (Al-Latakia), and three in Aleppo in shelling on al-Baab.
The killings of three civilians were documented in Idlib, found dead in al-Tamani’a road. The killings of two civilians were also documented in Daraa, one in shelling and the other under torture. In addition, a civilian from Hama was killed at the hands of unknown assailants in Ma’rrat al-No’maan.
