The death toll in Syria on Thursday 17/11/2016 reached 97 deaths including 11 children, five women, and one killed under torture.
Aleppo witnessed the killings of 68 civilians; 42 in shelling on al-Firdaws, al-Salheen, al-Halk, Hanano, Bustan al-Basha, Dahrat Awad, al-Muwasalat, al-Ma’adi, al-Ansari, al-Shaskh Faris, Baab Nalyarb, the towns of Ma’rrat al-Arteeq, Urum al-Kubra, al-A’is, and al-Baab (rural Aleppo), 20 in a bomb explosion on I’zaz, two shot by Kurdish militia in al-Sheikh Maqsood neighbourhood, three in clashes with ISIS, and one in clashes with government forces.
In rural Damascus, 13 civilians were killed; 11 in shelling on Saqba and Douma, one shot by a regime sniper, and one in clashes with government forces.
Furthermore, eight died in Idlib; six in shelling on the town of Kafr Jalis, one shot by an unknown source, and one in clashes with government forces.
In addition, three died in Deir Azzour, two in a bomb explosion on I’zaz (rural Aleppo), and one under torture in a government prison. An additional three civilians were killed in clashes with government forces in Daraa.
The killings of two civilians were documented in Hama, one in shelling, and the other in clashes with government forces.
