The death toll in Syria on Monday 12/09/2016 reached 50 deaths including nine children and four women.
In Idlib, 23 civilians were killed; 15 in shelling on the town of Ma’rrat Masreen, three in shelling, and five in clashes with government forces.
In rural Damascus, 16 civilians were killed, 14 in shelling on Douma, and two in clashes with government forces.
Aleppo witnessed the killings of three civilians, two in mortar shelling on government controlled neighbourhoods, and a journalist while covering shelling taking place on Aleppo.
An additional three civilians died in Daraa, two in clashes with government forces, and one in previous shelling on Ibta’. Furthermore, two died in Deir Azzour, one in shelling, and the other shot by Turkish border guards.
The killing of a civilian was documented in shelling on the village of al-Farhaniya (Homs). The killing of another civilian from Hama was documented in a mine explosion, as well as a civilian from Al-Latakia in clashes with government forces.
