Daily Report on Violations of Human Rights in Syria: 23/08/2016

The death toll in Syria on Tuesday 23/08/2016 reached 51 deaths including 12 children and five women.

Aleppo witnessed the killings of 22 civilians; 13 in bomb explosions remnants of ISIS, eight in shelling on al-Ramusa, and one in clashes with government forces.

In rural Damascus 16 civilians were killed; nine in shelling on Douma and Bait Sawa, five in clashes with government forces, and one shot by a regime sniper.

Furthermore, ten died in Idlib, eight in clashes with government forces, and two in shelling.

A civilian was killed in shelling on Daraa al-Balad neighbourhood and another from wounds sustained in previous shelling on the town of al-Ghantou (Homs). The killing of a civilian was also documented in the besieged neighbourhood of al-Jura, as a result of mortar shelling carried out by ISIS.
