A loaded lorry exploded in the western district of Al-Qamishli city on Wednesday morning, killing approximately 40 people according to the first count, and injuring dozens of others.
The explosion took place close to the Defence department of the Al-Jazeera county, in Muneer Habib Street, close to the Qasimo mosque.
Till now, no side has claimed responsibility for the explosion.
