The death toll in Syria on Saturday 16/07/2016 reached 100 deaths including 21 children, 13 women, and one killed under torture.
A staggering 67 civilians were killed in Aleppo; 59 in shelling on al-Ma’adi, al-Salheen, al-almaji, Bustan al-Qasr and al-Firdaus neighbourhoods, and the towns of al-Atarub and I’zaz, seven found in a mass grave in Tal al-Zarazeer neighbourhood, and one shot by a stray bullet in Manbaj.
In Homs, 15 civilians were killed; seven in shelling on the towns of Qazhal and Garnada, seven in clashes with government forces and one slaughtered at the hands of pro-regime forces.
Idlib witnessed the killings of eight civilians; six in clashes with government forces, one in a bomb explosion, and one in shelling on the town of abu al-Thuhur.
Furthermore, four died in Deir Azzour; two shot by Turkish border guards, one in a factory explosion by ISIS, and one in previous shelling on Ar-Raqqah. In addition, Turkish border guards shot a civilian from Ar-Raqqah.
The killings of four civilians were documented in rural Damascus; two in shelling, one in clashes with government forces, and one under torture in a government prison. The killing of a civilian was also documented in Daraa, under torture in a government prison.
