The death toll in Syria on Friday 08/07/2016 reached 62 deaths including 17 children, and 12 women.
Idlib witnessed the killings of 35 civilians; 23 in shelling on the town of Darkush, four in shelling on the town of Kafr Takhareem, seven in clashes with government forces, and one in a bomb explosion.
In Aleppo 22 civilians were killed; 15 in shelling on Ba’ideen, Sad al-Lawz, al-Salheen, Qadi Askar and al-Haidariya neighbourhoods, two in the Darkush massacre, one in Russian shelling on the town of Kafr Naha, two shot by a Kurdish militia sniper, two after government controlled al-Furqan neighbourhood was hit by several missiles, one shot by a sniper from an unknown source, another in a landmine explosion, and one in clashes with government forces.
The killings of four civilians were documented in rural Damascus, three in clashes with government forces, and a newborn baby due to the lack of nurseries and medical supplies as a result of the siege. The killing of a civilian was also documented in shelling in the town of Barj Qa’i in Homs.
