Daily Report on Violations of Human Rights in Syria: 25/06/2016

The death toll in Syria on Saturday 25/06/2016 reached 124 civilians. Among the victims were 18 children, 11 women and one killed under torture.

A staggering 78 civilians were killed in Deir Azzour, 70 in Russian airstrikes on the town of al-Quriya (rural Deir Azzour), one in shelling on the town of al-Hawayij, five activists executed at the hands of ISIS, and two in a landmine explosion in rural Aleppo.

Idlib witnessed the killed of 15 civilian; nine in shelling on Khan Sheikhun, and the towns of Karateen and al-Baara, three in clashes with government forces, one in a bomb explosion, and two bodies found on a road.

 In Aleppo, 11 civilians were killed; eight in shelling on the towns of Kharbat al-Alqamiya, Urum al-Kubra and Kafr Hamra (rural Aleppo) and al-Maysir neighbourhood, and three in mortar shelling on government controlled neighbourhoods.

Furthermore, seven died in Homs, six in clashes with government forces, and one in shelling on al-Farhaniya village. In addition, four civilians died in Hama, two in shelling, and two in clashes with government forces.

The killings of five civilians were documented in Daraa, four in a mine explosion planted by ISIS on the outskirts of the town of Taseel, and one under torture in a government prison. The killings of four civilians were also documented in rural Damascus; two in shelling, one in clashes with government forces, and one in an ambush carried out by ISIS.
