The death toll in Syria on Wednesday 22/06/2016 reached 49 deaths including 11 children, four women, and two killed under torture.
Aleppo witnessed the killings of 18 civilians; 11 in shelling on al-Baab road neighbourhood and al-Kastilo road, the town of Haritan (rural Aleppo), five in Kurdish militia shelling on the village of Jab Hamza, one shot by ISIS and another in a mine planted by ISIS.
In rural Damascus, eight civilians were killed; five in clashes with government forces, two in shelling, and one under torture in a government prison.
Furthermore, four died in Homs, three in shelling and one under torture in a government prison.
In addition, ten civilians were killed in Ar-Raqqah, as a result of Russian airstrikes on 21/06/2016. A further two civilians died in Deir Azzour, one in shelling on the town of al-Ji’a, and the other executed at the hands of ISIS.
The killings of five civilians were documented in Idlib, four in clashes with government forces, and one in shelling. The killing of another civilian was also documented in shelling in Hama, and another shot by ISIS in Yarmouk camp (southern Damascus).
