The death toll in Syria on Monday 23/05/2016 reached 56 deaths including nine children and 16 women.
In Al-Latakia, 30 civilians were killed in several explosions that took place in Jabla, and five died as a result of similar explosions in Tartus.
Aleppo witnessed the killings of nine civilians, seven in mortar shelling on several government controlled neighbourhoods, and two in clashes with government forces.
Furthermore, five died in rural Damascus, four in clashes with government forces, and one shot by a sniper.
In addition, three died in Deir Azzour; a child executed at the hands of ISIS, a civilian’s body found decomposed in rural Aleppo, and another in bombings that took place in Tartus. A civilian was also shot by Turkish border guards in Ar-Raqqah.
The killings of two civilians were documented in Idlib, in clashes with government forces. The killing of another civilian was also documented in Daraa, in clashes with ISIS.
