18-May-2016 By admin2

prison and body swap

On Tuesday, a prisoner and deceased bodies swap took place in Aleppo between regime forces and battalions of the armed opposition, under the supervision of Syrian Red Crescent.

The armed opposition handed over 25 prisoners, among them many officers, in addition to 70 bodies of dead officers, whilst the regime forces handed over 13 prisoners and 11 bodies of fighters killed in al-Rashideen in Aleppo.

However, the Syrian Red Crescent pointed out that the number of prisoners release were 40, and the number of bodies swapped were 91.

This operation is considered among the largest prisoner swaps to have taken between both sides during the last five years.
