The Brigadier Isaam Zahr al-Deen, one of the prominent leaders of the Syrian army, has posted pictures of himself posing with cut up human limbs on his facebook page, saying that they belong to members of ISIS from Deir Azzour.
The cut up and hung limbs reveal that Zahr al-Deen and his fighters cut up the bodies themselves, in addition to their pride at doing so.
Zahr al-Deen is from rural Suwaida; his grandfather was the Chief of staff at the army. Since 2011, Zahr al-Deen has been responsible for a large number of genocides, the most prominent of which took place in Baba Amr (Homs) in 2012. In 2013, he was transferred to Deir Azzour where he committed a number of massacres and formed his own special group- as the other core officers had also done- naming it, “Nafidh Asadullah”.
