The death toll in Syria on Thursday 12/05/2016 reached 33 deaths including a child, two women and one killed under torture.
Aleppo witnessed the killings of 12 civilians; seven in clashes with government forces, one in clashes with Kurdish militia, another in mortar shelling, one shot by a regime sniper, and two in Russian shelling on al-Shi’ar neighbourhood.
In Homs, nine civilians were killed, eight in clashes with government forces, and one in shelling on Burj al-Qa’I (Homs).
Furthermore, six died in Daraa; three in clashes with ISIS, one in arbitrary shelling by factions, one in a land mine explosion, and one under torture in a government prison.
In addition, two died in rural Damascus in artillery shelling on Dariya. A civilian from Jobar neighbourhood was also killed in clashes with government forces in Damascus.
The killings of a mother and her baby were documented, as a result of Kurdish militia refusing them entry through one of the barriers to get to a hospital. The killing of a civilian was also documented in shelling in Idlib.
