The death toll in Syria on Friday 18/03/2016 reached 40 deaths including eight children and six women.
Aleppo witnessed the killings of 14 civilians; five in shelling on the village of Baza’a, six executed at the hands of ISIS in Manbaj, one in clashes with government forces, another in clashes with ISIS, and one in mortar shelling on the government controlled al-Maydan neighbourhood.
In Ar-Raqqah, 17 civilians were killed in warplane shelling on the city. Among the victims were seven children and five women.
Furthermore, three died in Idlib in shelling on the village of al-Ghasaniya. In addition, two died in Homs, one targeted with machine guns while grazing sheep, and the other while dismantling a Russian cluster bomb.
The killings of two civilians were documented in Daraa, one randomly shot by one of the factions, and the other in shelling. The killing of a civilian from Deir Azzour was documented in shelling in Khanasir (rural Aleppo). A civilian was also shot by regime forces in Dariya (rural Damascus).
