The area of Asayida Zeinab in Damascus city was rocked by two explosions close to As-Sadr Hospital in al-Teen Street, killing approximately 120 people according to Syrian regime sources.
The A’maaq News channel, which is close to ISIS, said that ISIS had claimed responsibility for the attack.
The explosions in Asayida Zeinab, the majority of whose residents are non-Syrian Shia, came hours after an explosion in al-Zahra in Homs city which killed 50 people, making today the deadliest day due to car bombings since the beginning of the Syrian crisis.
