The death toll in Syria on Monday 11/01/2016 reached 94 deaths including 19 children and 11 women.
A staggering 40 civilians were killed in Aleppo, 29 in shelling; 19 in shelling on the town of Anjara alone, and ten in shelling on the towns of al-Sheikh Ali, Ma’rrat al-Larteeq, and Kafr Naha (rural Aleppo).
In the capital Damascus and its suburbs, 22 civilians were killed; seven in shelling on the town of Hawsh al-Salihiya, Saqba and Douma, seven in clashes with government forces, one shot by a regime sniper, two as a result of malnutrition due to the siege imposed on Madaya, two slaughtered at the hands of unknown assailants, two in a bomb explosion, and one shot by unknown assailants.
Homs witnessed the killings of seven civilians, six in shelling on the town of Ar-Rastan, and one in clashes with government forces.
Furthermore, six civilians perished in Hama, four in shelling on Ma’rrat al-No’maa (Idlib) on 09/01/2016, and two in clashes with government forces. An additional six civilians died in Daraa, four in clashes with government forces, and two in shelling. In addition, five died in Idlib, four in clashes with ISIS, and one shot by a sniper near the town of al-Fu’a.
The killings of five civilians were documented in Deir Azzour, four in shelling on al-Hamidiya, and one executed at the hands of ISIS. The killings of two civilians were also documented in Al-Latakia in shelling. Additionally, a civilian from Ar-Raqqah was killed in shelling on Douma.
