The death toll in Syria on Thursday 07/01/2016 reached 60 deaths including 15 children, six women, and three killed under torture.
In the capital Damascus and its suburbs, 32 civilians were killed; 26 in shelling on Douma, Zamlaka and Arbeen, three as a result of the lack of food and medicine due to the siege, two in clashes with government forces, and one under torture in a government prison.
Aleppo witnessed the killings of 15 civilians; 12 in Russian airstrikes on rural al-Baab, two executed at the hands of ISIS in Manbaj, and one shot by Kurdish militia.
In Hama, four civilians perished; two in remnants explosion by the regime, one hit by a stray bullet from the Turkish army, and another as a result of the severe cold weather in Kafr Zeita.
Furthermore, three died in Deir Azzour in mortar shelling carried out by ISIS on the besieged neighbourhoods. An additional three civilians were killed in Homs, two in clashes, and one in shelling in Idlib.
The killings of two civilians were documented in Al-Hassaka, under torture in Sednaya prison. The killing of a civilian was also documented in clashes with government forces in Al-Quneitra.
