The death toll in Syria on Monday 04/01/2016 reached 25 deaths including a child, three women, and one killed under torture.
In Daraa, ten civilians were killed; five in clashes with government forces, three in artillery shelling, one publically executed at the hands of government forces during their raid on the city of al-Sheikh Miskeen, and another under torture in a government prison.
Aleppo witnessed the killings of six civilians, five in shelling on al-Baab, and one in clashes with government forces. In Al-Latakia, two civilians perished in the city of Salma (rural Al-Latakia).
Furthermore, two died in Idlib in a bomb explosion. A civilian was also killed in Deir Azzour, as a result of the severe cold weather and lack of heating resources, due to the siege imposed on al-Qusur neighbourhood by ISIS. In addition, a civilian died in Ar-Raqqah, executed at the hands of ISIS.
The killings of two civilians were documented in rural Damascus, one shot by a regime sniper, and the other in tank shelling. The killing of a civilian was also documented in clashes with government forces in Homs.
