The death toll in Syria on Wednesday 30/12/2015 reached 87 deaths including four children, five women, and one killed under torture.
In Homs, 19 civilians were killed; 16 in shelling on Tadmur on 27/12/2015 and 30/12/2015, two shot by a sniper in al-Waer neighbourhood, and two in clashes with government forces.
Al-Hassaka witnessed the killings of 17 civilians in four suicide attacks, targeting several areas in the city of al-Qamshili on New Year’s Eve.
In Aleppo, 11 civilians were killed; four in shelling on the village of al-A’juziya near the town of Maskana (rural Aleppo), four in clashes with government forces, one in clashes with ISIS, another executed at the hands of ISIS, and one in a car bomb explosion in the city of I’zaz (northern rural Aleppo).
Furthermore, 14 civilians died in Daraa, ten in clashes with government forces, and four in shelling. A further nine civilians were killed in Idlib, seven in shelling – the majority in al-Naqeer camp, and two in clashes with government forces. In addition, seven died in the capital Damascus and its suburbs, eight in missile strikes on Douma, and one in clashes with government forces.
The killings of eight civilians were documented in Deir Azzour; three in shelling on the town of al-Buleel, one shot by an ISIS sniper, another under torture in an ISIS prison, two executed at the hands of the organisation by throwing them from one of the buildings, and one in clashes with government forces. The killing of a civilian was documented in clashes with government forces in Al-Latakia and another in Hama.
