The death toll in Syria on Monday 28/12/2015 reached 76 deaths including nine children, and six women.
Aleppo witnessed the killings of 34 civilians; 16 in shelling on Tal Raf’at and Taqaad (rural Aleppo) and al-Sheikh Maqsood neighbourhood (Aleppo), 11 in mortar shelling on areas under government control, three in clashes with government forces, two shot by Kurdish militia in the village of Haj Hussein, one shot near Aleppo University, and one in clashes with ISIS.
In the capital Damascus and its suburbs, 15 civilians were killed; six in shelling on the town of Zabdeen, four in shelling on al-Ma’damiya, three shot by unknown assailants, one shot by a regime sniper in Babila, and one as a result of the lack of food due to the siege imposed on the city of Madaya.
Furthermore, nine civilians perished in Daraa, six in clashes with government forces, and three in shelling.
An additional nine civilians died in Al-Latakia, six in Russian airstrikes on the village of Jabal al-Akraad, and three in clashes with government forces.
In addition, four died in Homs, in shelling on the city of Tadmur on 27/12/2015.
The killings of three civilians were documented in Deir Azzour, two in shelling on al-Mayadeen, and one executed at the hands of ISIS. The killings of two civilians were also documented in Hama, in clashes with government forces.
